Student Resilience Research and Outreach
The Institute for Coastal Adaptation and Resilience has launched a student affiliation program to help connect undergraduate and graduate students with faculty and resources in resilience and adaptation. There is no cost for students to apply and participate, and students may be eligible for travel grants or other research- or engagement-focused grants or stipends.
Benefits of the program include:
- One student event per semester with a speaker on a coastal resilience topic, with virtual attendance options for online students.
- An opportunity to present work at a student poster session held at the Spring event, with awards for excellence in both graduate and undergraduate work.
- An opportunity to apply for travel funding to support attendance at conferences and symposia.
- Access to a database with postings for fellowships, internships, and other opportunities.
- The potential for projects to be featured by ICAR leadership in its promotional materials, including connections with ICAR affiliates.
- The opportunity to build your CV to apply for jobs, graduate programs, or other opportunities, including receiving a letter of recommendation from ICAR
