The Blue Line Project is coming up this Sunday in partnership with the City of Norfolk, NOAA Natl. Geodetic Survey, and ODU Coastal Geography class students. WEBSITE: https://sites.wp.odu.edu/blueline/
A companion story map with interactive maps of the future high tides (2050, 2080, 2100): https://arcg.is/4mLmr
The event culminates in conjunction with Catch the King king tide mapping on Sunday 9am 10/27. Students and faculty will be at the 3 sites in Larchmont, ODU Sailing Center and The Hague/Chrysler to place signs and inform public participants (rain or shine, "Time and tide waits for no one!") Weather-permitting, ODU ITS' GeoVis group will be doing dronemapping to map the king tide.
After visiting, participants/viewers will then be able to take a risk perception survey coordinated by Dr. Nicole Hutton in Geography.
